In October 2009 we were commissioned to relocate an existing client of 16 years to a new location. The Restaurant business has been in existence for 28 with 22 years having and maintaining a AAA three diamond rating. The resulting completed project with an approx. cost of $1.3 million (which is all inclusive) opened for business October 16th, 2010.
The new location was a 70's era former Chinese restaurant on an end cap of a strip center only three city blocks from the restaurant's original location.
LUSDA was the lead design firm hired by the client to produce all of the as-built plans, spaceplanning for both the interior remodel and the exterior building & site improvements, Interior Architecture, Interior Design, Lighting Design, Theme Development, Foodservice Planning, Custom Millwork both Architectural & Fixtures, Custom Stainless Steel Foodservice items for main kitchen and bar, & all construction documents except for one Architectural detail sheet, Structural Engineering, & Geotech plans and specifications.
LUSDA was also responsible for selecting the Architect, Structural Engineer, Geotechnical Engineer, & General Contractor. We were involved with every aspect of the project. The client hired LUSDA to be there agent once the preliminary design phase was done and the CD phase was started. The building owner also used LUSDA's services for on site project management and frequent site reviews during the remodel construction process.
